Mary Sorrendino, LMHC, CASAC

Mary is a licensed mental health counselor who is certified in alcohol and substance abuse counseling. Her specialty is treating those who suffer from mental health and dependency issues.

Mary provides individual therapy for those who suffer with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, anger management issues, relationship issues and for those who have been sexually abused.  Mary utilizes different modalities of treatment specifically targeting the needs of each individual.  

Mary offers group counseling for individuals who have PTSD and substance abuse issues; working  with material from The Seeking Safety Program and will be offering group treatment at the Wellness Therapy Center. This treatment approach is proven effective as it is solution focused which gives the client a sense of safety and a way to develop new coping skills.  

Mary has worked in ministry at her church as a counselor; she is well versed in scripture, and is able to provide therapy for clients who seek a Christian based approach.

Mary Parker, RN, MSN, FMHNP

Mary Parker is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.  She started her career in Syracuse in 1989.  She is a graduate of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing.  She obtained her BSN from SU in 1997 and an MSN from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2011.  Mary has worked in a variety of settings including psychiatric inpatient services; outpatient services, nurse case manager and community based assertive treatment services.  She has experience with adults of all ages, and is familiar with childhood disorders involving conduct and ADHD.  She welcomes adolescents into her practice.  Mary enjoys helping people with depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar, PTSD and substance abuse.   She has extensive experience working with Veterans.  In her current practice Mary limits her role to medication management.  She is surrounded by a group of clinicians who are experts in providing psychotherapy.
